Our commitment
This site should be usable by as many people as possible, including people using keyboards, screen readers, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. Accessibility is treated as part of the design work, not a retrofit.
Target standard
We are working toward conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This site has not yet completed a formal third-party audit, so we do not claim full conformance.
What is in place
Reduced motion is respected throughout: animation, parallax, continuous rotation, and the 3D objects fall back to static compositions when your system requests reduced motion, and no content is lost in that state.
Video is never auto-played with sound. Players load only when you choose to play them, can be operated from the keyboard, and pause when scrolled out of view.
Interface text is rendered as real text rather than images, so it can be resized, selected, and read aloud. Japanese and Latin text are separated so each uses an appropriate typeface.
Decorative media is hidden from assistive technology, and decorative layers do not intercept clicks or keyboard focus.
Known limitations
We would rather name these than overstate our position:
Project films do not yet have captions or transcripts. This is the most significant outstanding gap and affects deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors directly.
Some case-study images carry empty alternative text where the surrounding copy already describes the work. Descriptive alternatives are being written.
The contact form is not yet active, so its error handling and validation messaging have not been tested with assistive technology.
A full audit against WCAG 2.2 AA, including contrast measurement across every project theme and testing at 200% zoom, has not yet been completed.
